MAXON Telecom Advances Plan to Establish Advanced Network Cable Manufacturing Facility in the United States

MAXON Telecom announced that it has selected a candidate site in Chesapeake, Virginia, for a major new investment in advanced network cable manufacturing. The company is currently conducting a comprehensive feasibility study and has initiated formal discussions with the Commonwealth of Virginia to support the development of the project.

As high-performance network cables are critical infrastructure for digital connectivity, domestic production in the United States is expected to play a key role in strengthening supply chain resilience, supporting next-generation communication systems, and enhancing national digital security.

MAXON Telecom specializes in the development and manufacturing of advanced signal transmission cables, including fiber optic cables, submarine cables, and high-speed data communication solutions. These technologies are essential for data centers, telecommunications networks, smart cities, industrial automation, and 5G/6G infrastructure.

With global demand for high-bandwidth and low-latency communication rapidly increasing, establishing a U.S.-based production facility will allow MAXON Telecom to better serve major telecom operators, hyperscale data centers, and enterprise network providers.

The proposed facility is expected to be located near MAXON Telecom’s submarine cable manufacturing plant currently under development. This strategic positioning will enable efficient integration of production, logistics, and deployment for large-scale network infrastructure projects.

“This investment represents a significant step forward in expanding our core business in telecommunications infrastructure,” said a company spokesperson. “It reinforces MAXON Telecom’s commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and future-ready network cable solutions for the global market.”

MAXON Telecom is also working to strengthen its end-to-end value chain, from raw material sourcing to advanced cable engineering and manufacturing. The company is focusing on high-quality copper, fiber optic components, and next-generation insulation technologies to ensure superior performance and durability.

In addition, MAXON Telecom is exploring the production of specialized network cables such as high-density fiber systems, outdoor armored cables, and industrial-grade communication cables within the United States. This expansion will further enhance
